FHS Course Information
Modern Language Department Courses
The primary goal of the Modern Language Department is to give the student the opportunity to become familiar with a language other than their own. Students learn to use, understand and communicate a language, both in spoken and written form. Through the language, the student will learn the cultural heritage of other lands and become acquainted with customs and thoughts of other people. Also, the study of another language enhances one's awareness of the structure of the English language.
