1900s. The 1920s flappers and bootleggers (The Great Gatsby) pursued
non-traditional values, while the Great Depression encouraged Okies like
the Joad family (The Grapes of Wrath) to follow the Migrant Road
to California. The 1950s was a conformist era that persecuted Communists
(The Crucible) and the l970s -80s witnessed the tragedy of the Vietnam
