This project follows a literature study of In My Hands by Irene Gut Opdyke. In her memoir, Irene tells how she took a stand against the German occupied forces to help save the lives of a dozen Jews in Poland during World War II.

In this unit you will understand why it is important to take a stand and make a difference on important current world issues and crimes against humanity. You are invited to conduct online research, write a script, and use video and desktop editing software to produce a documentary that chronicles crimes against humanity today.

We invite students and teachers to use this web site to learn more about how you can help fight crimes against humanity, become more informed citizens, and take a stand to make a difference.
