Servant of Two Masters is about Truffaldino, a servant, who finds himself in a precarious predicament in which he has two masters! To satisfy his empty stomach and insatiable appetite, he serves two masters to double his wages and, consequently, double his meals. He invents a delicate web of lies to cover his deception. The plan begins to unravel when other characters request that he “give this [letter, money, etc.] to his master.” Which master?
Both masters, Beatrice and Florindo, are actually seeking the other without knowing they share a servant. Shenanigans ensue as Truffaldino’s scheme unravels, but since everyone is in love, everything turns out for the best.
