Fremont had its first College Faire in November. Six teachers, Dan Amezquita, Jireh Lee, Kristin Nethers, Mike Smith, Bobby Soto, and Eric Wong organized the event. A major goal was to expose the students to colleges, universities and other programs --- the next step after high school.
Students walked around the tables, finding colleges, gathering information and interviewing teachers about how they felt about the colleges they attended. “The group plans to make this experience an annual event. Next year, they want to expand and include more colleges, not just the colleges the teachers attended,” says Jireh Lee, a committee member.
