Ron Demonner Ron Demonner (1995-2001;2006-present)

Biography
Coach Ron Demonner, already a coaching legend in the area, took over the Fremont coaching job in the 1995 season. After a long stint at Santa Clara University, Demonner returned to the high school ranks where he had not coached since leading the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs to a WCAL title in 1974. Demonner took over a program struggling for wins and players, but remarkably, in just his second year, Demonner led the Firebirds to their first league title since 1990. If not for a move up to the De Anza Division in 1997, Demonner’s Firebirds might have won back to back league titles. In his 7th and final season as head coach, Demonner came one extra point shy of a second title, when his Firebirds tied Cupertino 6-6 on a wet Friday night at Diesner Field. Coach Demonner still teaches PE at Fremont, and is the defensive coordinator for the Menlo College Oaks.
