Greg Perry (1992)
Biography In only one season as starting quarterback, Greg Perry put together the finest single season passing performance in school history. After a junior year in which he saw more playing time at safety than at quarterback, Perry lit up De Anza Athletic League defenses for a record 1,661 passing yards and 15 touchdown passes. Throughout the fall of 1991, Perry also put up some impressive single game marks: setting school marks for yards, attempts, and completions. Perry’s favorite target was teammate
Jason
Simontacchi, who hauled in 11 of those 15 touchdown tosses. For his efforts, Perry was named DAAL 1st Team All League quarterback. Perry also was a three-year varsity baseball starter.
