Jim Rockey (1983)

Biography

After his two and a half years as a Fremont quarterback, Jim Rockey graduated with every single-season passing mark in school history. Twenty years have passed (no pun intended), and Rockey still has a presence in the record books. Rockey’s 1982 season, saw him pass for 1,294 yards, the first time an Indian quarterback broke the 1,000 yard barrier. His 14 touchdown completions, most of which ended up in the arms of Vince Brigman, is second on the all-time list. Rockey earned 1st Team All-League honors in 1982, capping a very successful senior season behind center.
