Mike Silva (2004)

Biography

An outstanding athlete and competitor, Mike has put up the most impressive numbers in the 2000’s. A two-year starter at quarterback, Silva threw for over 1,000 yards in each of his two seasons leading the Fremont offense. Mike recorded 26 career touchdowns in just 20 games: topping a school record for quarterbacks that lasted nearly 20 years. Mike capped an impressive senior year with the Most Valuable Back Award in the SCVAL- a first for a Fremont signal caller. Along with the single season mark for touchdown passes, Silva also tied Mark Wright’s 1967 record of four touchdown passes in a single game, equaling that mark twice during the 2003 season. The Mercury News honored Mike with a spot on the Special Mention portion of its 2003 All CCS Team.
