Course Description

Economics is a 9-week class dedicated to learning the basic principles of Economics.  Because the AP Government test is 6-weeks into the quarter, we will spend a significant amount of class time reviewing APGOV.  Therefore, students should make sure to do all of the Economics reading in advance of the material covered in class. By reading each dayÕs assignment before coming to class, the presentation and discussion for that day will mean more to you.  After the AP test, we will spend two weeks studying the economics of the new world order: Globalization.

Materials

TEXTBOOK:  Clayton, Gary E., Ph.D., Economics: Principles and Practices.  Woodland Hills, CA: Glencoe/McGraw-Hill. 1999.

NOTEBOOK:      Students should bring it to class everyday.

It will be used primarily to take notes on the nightly readings.
